These are some of the most important Native American Movies were Native Indians were the central characters. However, American West films were mostly focusing on the gang war themes and Native Indians came into the movie just as the locals, which means, they had no particular involvement in most films as a leading or opposing character. However, the trend was later changed and they were featured as either good or the bad guys but in many movies, they were portrayed in a negative manner (the bad guy will be a native) and this brought a lot of criticism to the American West Films. The scenario lasted for quite some time.

However, every Native American Film and their culture is a part of history these days and are watched with much respect.
